"Ryujin no Yume by Marcus D is a lo-fi instrumental album inspired by Japanese mythology and landscapes. The tracks evoke temples, cityscapes, nature, and the mystical world of a "dragon god's dream", unfolding like a journey through a dreamlike realm. The warm, SP-404-inspired beats combined with elements of jazz and ambient music create a laid-back atmosphere reminiscent of the lineage following Nujabes. Composed of 27 tracks, the album carefully builds a rich, introspective and atmospheric world through a sequence of shorter pieces. Equally suited as background music for work or as an immersive listening experience, this release also holds strong appeal as a collector's item, featuring colored vinyl and an obi strip. Highly recommended not only for lo-fi fans, but also for listeners seeking music with a distinct Japanese essence."
