Hailing from Newark, New Jersey, The Savoys were a vocal group consisting of lead Angelo Basilone and John Faliveno, Joseph Castellano, Joseph Stefanelli and Sam Monaco. The outfit released a few 45s on Stan Krause's Catamount label in the mid-1960s. After decades of being available on vinyl only, the newly remastered single The Closer You Are backed with Gloria can finally be had in the digital domain. .
